چکیده
ZnAlFe1−xSmxO4 (x = 0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08) spinel ferrites were successfully obtained for the first time via a sol–gel autocombustion technique using citric acid as combustion/chelating agent. These materials then employed photocatalysts degradation of Evans Blue, considered herein model organic pollutant. The XRD and FTIR analysis confirmed achievement pure ferrite structures all materials. TEM showed that average particle sizes decline from about 27 undoped material to 17 nm samarium-doped materials, magnetic characterization at room temperature indicated paramagnetic conduct studied samples. All active in Blue photodegradation. best photocatalytic performances observed ZnAlFe0.94Sm0.06O4 formulation explained by smallest values calculated lattice parameter, interplanar distance, particle-size values. By adding H2O2 applying modelling optimization process material, half-life pollutant decreased significantly 115 min 7 (about 16-times), colour-removal efficiency was almost 100%.

Application of spinel-type cobalt chromite as a novel catalyst for combustion of chlorinated organic pollutants.
Various chromium-containing catalysts were tested for the total oxidation of trichloroethylene (TCE) as a model reaction for the catalytic combustion of chlorinated organic pollutants. A spinel-type cobalt chromite (CoCr2O4) among others was proven to be a very promising catalyst showing higher activity and higher CO2 selectivity than traditional alumina supported chromia. Even if both Cr3+ and...
متن کاملApplication of TiO2–zeolite as photocatalyst for photodegradation of some organic pollutants
Immobilization of catalysts on the surface of some inert supports makes therecovering step easier. Because of the specific physicochemical properties, zeolites are good candidate as catalyst supports. In this study, zeolite X was synthesized by natural kaolin and TiO2 was incorporated into zeolite phase by impregnation method. Degradation of Safranin Orange, methylene blue and 2,4–di...

متن کاملPhotodegradation of Pollutants in Air: Enhanced Properties of Nano-TiO2Prepared by Ultrasound
Nanocrystalline TiO(2) samples were prepared by promoting the growth of a sol-gel precursor, in the presence of water, under continuous (CW), or pulsed (PW) ultrasound. All the samples turned out to be made of both anatase and brookite polymorphs. Pulsed US treatments determine an increase in the sample surface area and a decrease of the crystallite size, that is also accompanied by a more orde...
متن کاملPhotodegradation of HMX and RDX in the Presence of Nanocatalyst of Zinc Sulfide Doped with Copper
Nanoparticles of zinc sulfide as undoped and doped with copper were used as photocatalyst in the photodegradation of HMX (octahydro-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine) and RDX (hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine) as nitramine explosives under UV and Vis irradiations. Photoreactivity of doped zinc sulfide was varied with dopant, mole fraction of dopant to zinc ion, pH of solut...
